Caldolor¢ç Pediatric Pain Study Results To Be Presented At The Pediatric Anesthesiology 2014 Conference

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Friday, March 7, 2014 – Cumberland Pharmaceuticals Inc. (Nasdaq:CPIX) today announced that data from a recent study evaluating the efficacy and safety of Caldolor¢ç (ibuprofen) Injection will be presented at the Pediatric Anesthesiology 2014 conference in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The pediatric study met its primary endpoint demonstrating that Caldolor was associated with a statistically significant reduction in temperature within the first 2 hours of dosing when compared to acetaminophen. Equally important, no safety concerns were observed during the study.  During the study, febrile hospitalized children ranging in age from less than 1 year to 16 years, were administered Caldolor¢ç (ibuprofen) injection or oral or rectal acetaminophen as a single or multiple dose therapy for up to five days.

The presentation entitled ¡°A Multi-Center. Open-Label, Parallel, Active-Comparator, Multiple Dose Trial to Determine the Efficacy, Safety, and Pharmacokinetics of Intravenous Ibuprofen in Pediatric Patients¡± will be on Saturday, March 8, at 11:00 a.m. EST. It will be presented by Dr. Samia N. Khalil, M.D, Department of Anesthesiology, the University of Texas Medical School at Houston.

About Caldolor¢ç

Caldolor¢ç is indicated for the management of mild to moderate pain and management of moderate to severe pain as an adjunct to opioid analgesics, and for the reduction of fever in adults. It is the first FDA approved intravenous therapy for fever.
